Snaith Memorial

New War Memorial for Charter Town of Snaith

 

Renee Ounsley, Honorary President of the Pollington Airfield Memorial Garden along with the help of Delise Thorp, Emilio Toone, Nicola Huby, Gail Link, Julie Reed, Alison Gibson raised funds to erect a war memorial in the town of Snaith. 

Although we have a beautiful  RAF Memorial Garden, only RAF men and women are commemorated in it and it was felt that other Forces, e.g, army, navy and civilians such as Fire Services etc. Should be remembered, too. The Memorial was erected and dedicated on Sunday, October 27th, 2019.
